Notes: Notes for Elmer Clayman: In 1920. Elmer Clayman, age 46, and his wife, Grace, age 30, were living in Detroit, District 643, Ward 21, Wayne County, Michigan. They were lodgers in a boarding house. Elmer's occupation at that time was a Plaster Contractor. May have been the Elmer Clayman in 1930 census, living as a boarder in Peoria Illinois. Stated he was married for 22 years, but no wife listed. He was a salesman for stock food. His occupation was given as Plasterer buildings. He was married and had 3 children and his parents and brother, Elmer E. Clayman, were living with him and his family. Omer Benjamin Clayman registered for the World War I draft in St. Louis in 1917. Information given then: He lived at 2825 Pestallozzi St. St. Louis. His nearest relative was his wife Frances. He was described as tall, med build, gray eyes, brown hair. Occaupation "Contractor for himself". In 1920 census, his parents nor brother was still living with him. He still worked as a Plasterer. His wife was now called Josie, presumably a middle name, since age was the same as Frances'. Three children were still living at home. Notes for James J. Clayman: James and his wife, Grace, age 30 living as a border in a home in St. Louis, Independent City, MO, in 1930. May have been the same James J. Clayman, died 27 January 1971 in Pinellas County, Florida. Born 20 Feb 1907 In 1930 census, James J. Clayman, age 23 (son of Omer Clayman) was living in aboarding house in Independent City, St. Louis Missouri. His Occupation was Plasterer Contractor
