Appleby Heritage received the following e-mail from Marge Rice.  "I recently purchased a wonderful old postcard photograph of "Verle Benson Wilberforce Appleby, Esthyle Woodrow Appleby and Wendell Clement Appleby, pictured with their mother or grandmother, at an antique shop in Lockport, Illinois.  I enjoy rescuing lovely old pictures like this from antique shops and locating descendants/family members so that I can re-unite the pictures for only my costs, with people who will treasure them."  

This lineage goes back to John Appleby of Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania.  A full chart follows soon.

The names were in the Appleby Heritage files and we located a descendant in Kansas.  Parents of the children were Jesse Lee Appleby and Lou Eva (Morgan) Appleby.  Jesse,  a son of Alexander Wilbur Force Appleby and Maria Jane (Jennie) Rishtine-Appleby.

Alexander Wilberforce Appleby was born 28 Dec 1851; Fairhaven, Ohio to Alexander and Sarah (Brown) Appleby; died 20 Feb 1929, Ames, Cloud County, Kansas.  He is buried in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Ames.  On 20 Feb 1878, Alexander married Maria Jane (Jennie) Rishtine, daughter of William Palmer Rishtine and Manerva Ann Hadley.  Maria died 9 Sept 1862 in Concordia, Cloud Co. Kansas and is buried in the Pleasant View cemetery in Ames.

Jesse Lee APPLEBY, born 7 Jan 1884, Clyde, Cloud County, Kansas.  Jesse was married to Lou Eva Morgan, born 4 Jan 1890; died Nov 1966, Kansas.
