on Highway 39 (yr. 2000).


Eva Helen Appleby Records from Russell Funeral Home, Greenfield, Missouri, gave 

Mother's name for Eva Helen Appleby, as Harriet Hawkins.  Harriet may have 

married for a second time to a Hawkins, after her husband died when he was

 56 years of age.


Henry Benjamin Appleby.  In 1953 lived in Washington State.  This is probably the

Henry B. Appleby, age 50, born in Missouri, that is in the 1910 census, Idaho Co. Idaho.


John Richard Julius Appleby:  Once was Sheriff of  Dade County, Missouri.  Infant 

children buried in Dudenville, Missouri Cemetery.  This cemetery is on Dade & 

Jasper Counties line.   A record at SLC Family History Library gives death place as

Stanton, Nebraska.  Was it a coincidence one of his father's wives was Mary C. Murphy?

John Richard Julius Appleby, birth recorded on marriage record as 1841, married 

Martha Ellen Hayes, on 24 January 1893, in Rockville, Parke Co. Indiana.


Felix Justin Young Appleby, Sr.:  Died after 4 years of marriage and 3-4 months before 

before birth of 4th child, Felix Justin Young Appleby, Jr.   


James Sidney Appleby:  His will was written on 1 March 1870, probated 15 August 1870.

Since he wwas only 28 years of age, he may have had a illness or accident that made him

aware that death was imminent.  No mention of a wife in the will, only named some brothers

and sisters:  William C., John R., Luther B., Sarah J., Sophronia E., and Susanna C..  

Siblings not mentioned in will:  Felix Justin Young, Mary Catherine (already deceased), 

and Foster F. Appleby.  Mentioned in the Carthage Banner Newspaper, Carthage, Jasper

County, Missouri: "One of community's best young men."
