William Appleby, born Circa 1802 in (Durham Co.?) England; died 28 Jun 1888 in Benton, LaFayette County, Wisconsin. He married Mary Ayers, 12 Sep 1826 in Houghton, LeSkeerne Parish, Durham County, England. Mary, born 12 Feb 1803 in Auklund?; Durham County, England; died 18 Aug 1871 in Benton(?) LaFayette County, Wisconsin. Both, William and Mary are buried in Democrat Cemetery, Methodist Primitive, Leadmine, Wisconsin. There is no marker for William here now. Only one child, James, is listed for William and Mary, at present time. Current research indicates there may have been other children. Information will be added when available.
