Earnest H. Appleby: Records from Benson-Coolidge Funeral records for Lander County, states, Ernest's occupation was Laborer, his religion was Methodist.

Father was Curles Shem Appleby, Mother was Nancy Gustin from Iowa.

 

Joseph Appleby, son of Ernest H. Appleby:  Died by drowning.  Descendents told me Ernest and his family were living in a tent when a wall of water caused by rain flooing swept him and a brother away.  Joseph was 8 years, 1 month, 14 days.

 

Ethel Appleby:  Descendent of Curles & Nancy Appleby related, Nancy was a mid-wife for Ethel's birth, and the mother did not live.  Nancy took the baby to raise as her own.
