The picture (above) and the following article, were from a book for Willard, MO. "A dozen brothers and sisters in the Ross family had their picture taken at a family reunion June 13, 1900, at the residence of L. A. Ross in Willard. To the best of the knowledge of Ed East, who provided the photo (for the book), the first row, left to right, are, Sallie Watson, Aunt Jo, Cordie Evans, B. J. Ross, Emma Appleby, and Dr. L. C. Ross. The second row, left to right, Asbury Ross, Monroe Ross, (or Dr. Frank Ross). Aunt Jennie Whitlock, Aunt Molly Skeene and David Ross. David Ross's father was a circuit-riding minister."
Appleby Heritage note: Emma Appleby (in picture) was Laura Emma (Ross) Appleby, second wife of William Robert Appleby. He was the eldest child of James Appleby and Nancy (Lane) Appleby. Emma Ross & William R. Appleby lived at 113 East Euclid Avenue, Topeka, Kansas in the 1920 Census. In 1910 they lived in Hamilton City, Janesville Twp., Kansas. By the size of the table behind the group, there were probably many persons, attending the reunion, not all shown in the picture.
